Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist, Supervisor, Psychotherapist and Senior Lecturer
Jennifer Dunseath was one of the first students to train with CPHT Belfast and went on to build a successful Clinical Hypnotherapy practice, returning as a lecturer in CPHT Belfast a few years later.
Returned to the classroom as a lecturer has been hugely rewarding, Jennifer considers being part of the journey that others are embarking on is a privilege to be a part of. ‘I love watching the change in people over the ten months of training, from the first nervous steps into the classroom to the conversations bubbling with excitement of that they have achieved just a month later. The final weekend of graduation is often emotional to see just what an impact this course has on students personally and the journey they have seen their own clients on. I’m so lucky to also be a Supervisor, so I often get to continue that journey with them long after they stop being students.’
Prior to becoming a clinical hypnotherapist Jennifer ran a successful Management Accountancy practice in Edinburgh city centre with 13 employees. This was her passion for over 15 years until she decided she needed a new challenge. Having seen a clinical hypnotherapist many years previously, the memory of those few sessions and the feeling of peace, calm and confidence that followed had always stuck with her so she was delighted a new school opened just when she was looking for one.
Jennifer works with people of all ages and backgrounds, each with their own goals. Whether it be overcoming anxiety, building confidence, finding motivation, improving sports performance or getting rid of a phobia – if the desire to change is there the client is capable of almost anything! Jennifer says ‘I do have the best job in the world, where else could you be humbled, inspired and amazed on a daily basis!’
Jemma White trained with CPHT Belfast and now runs a Clinical Hypnotherapy practice in Bangor Co. Down. She loves helping others to move forward and get back to their real selves, no longer being inhibited by the issue that brought them to therapy.
Prior to becoming a clinical hypnotherapist Jemma worked in the corporate world as an Analyst. However even then, she always had a passion for helping others and trained with Women’s Aid and the Samaritans to become a listening volunteer. As her passion to help others grew, she went on to complete a Master’s in Counselling & Therapeutic Communication. It was then she came across Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. The Solution Focused Approach resonated deeply with her as it takes the best aspects of other successful therapies like NLP and CBT and helps the client focus on the solutions needed without having to dwell on the past. Since making the change from Analyst to Therapist she has never looked back.
Jemma works with a range of clients one to one as well corporate work, presenting to businesses throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic. The best part of her job is meeting new people and walking alongside them, seeing the amazing transformation in the lives of her clients as well as the ripple effect to their families and friends in a relatively short period of time.
